EG. My son works for a bio-tech company that builds DNA strands. Now keep in mind, this involves very complicated high tech gear. Its all done in clean rooms, like where they make computer chips. Its so complicated that you can't explain to the average person how they do it. Yet, I'm supposed to believe, based on "science", that DNA strands formed by themselves without any intellegence or input from an outside source. If that's science, you can keep it.
WTF does this have to do with the thread topic??

So what you're saying is that you think atheists/agnostics are fools because they base their beliefs on evidence and rational thinking rather than a 2000 year old collection of desert scribblings.

It's hard to imagine, but I guess this implies that even in an ancient world saturated with every type of deity known to man, there were apparently people who knew better. A little closer look at the passage says that "the fool" says it in his heart which causes one to wonder how the writer knew what people were saying in their heads (heart).
The utter lack of logic in quoting scripture to demonstrate the foolishness of not believing scripture is impressive.

"I just can't believe [argument from personal incredulity] X, therefore the Judeo-Christian version of the superman-in-the-sky story that my parents taught me must be true! [god of the gaps]"

That one will get laughed out of a Junior High-level debate class.

From me, it only gets you pity.

Insane forget whether it is foolish or not to say there is no God, there is only one way to know what a man thinks and what that man is...........just listen to what he's saying. This is how the writer knew.

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, there's no hiding it.

Heart and Soul....yeah, right.
People have now had heart transplants.
They didn't become the person whose heart they got.

Anybody heard of a soul transplant yet?
Oh yeah!!! it goes on the bottom of your feet and the correct spelling is different.

I'm always amazed how Christians claim a book is the word of God, yet the vast majority chose not to read it. Then they have a hard time explaining everything, even their own supposed believes.

snow flakes and stars... it would be really hard for humans to create snow flakes or stars without the right conditions. Therefore, the God of the Jews himself intervenes and does it IN THE PLACE OF nature. yeah, that has to be it.

Takes one to know one. Out of the abundance of his heart he spoke, because if the writer were to choose not to believe in God, he would become the fool that he stood to be naturally... However, later Jewish writers understood that there are some of us who are naturally good... you should read some of their quotes.

Luminous. I was not debating so much who actually is the fool, but to insane's question how does the writer know what someone is saying in their heads(hearts) ?.

I wasn't debating, I was stating my opinion of how the writer thought he knew... he tried to put himself in their shoes.
