How do you know for sure that the energies you "feel" and believe are there, are from something out there that you have yet to discover? When there's room for doubt and the realization that humans can't know what the truth is, there's always room for Agnosticism :P

The
"problem of being an atheist in general" you say? How? Where? Why? When? How very
arrogant of you, just soz you know! As to a functioning life absent any Godz or entities lurking about, there's always that common sense element, where you just
have to make a rational decision and then get on with your life. It's a basic daily functionality thing, don't you see?
If you're stuck constantly pondering the imponderable, wondering if you have all the various diverse and potentially inconceivable elements carefully "considered", but perhaps
do not (
"Oh bother!!", said Pooh...), your life may indeed be psychologically unworkable.
So you make that daily-living, conscious & fully-functioning decision based on your beliefs, on statistics, and on the other workables that science's and logic's methodologies have indeed answered, and quite well at that! The various literal occurrences from the bible have all been debunked and rebuked, the improbabilities of it all unveiled. And so on.
So.... why go further? Why indeed? It's like looking ever more deeply into Santa Claus. No need!
Esp. if you
don't have a burning, insatiable
need to have all your unanswerable questions answered. I mean, some of us,
(quite a few in fact...), having clearly seen the compelling masses of evidence
against a hard literal and even philosophical interpretation of that one book
(versus all the other books, which could take a lot of time most of us don't really have...), have indeed made that happy rational decision to just go with what we figure is the likely truth:
atheism.
An Agnostic approach simply affirms that some have found a need to have another way out. Not for me, indeed!
"Atheism: It's nothing more, nothing less!". [Hmmm... that's a
great bumper sticker, no?] No other baggage, no other attached beliefs, no
"But then again, maybe...???" add-ons; not even by those of us who've been scientifically trained, though many are, and thus came to their highly rational and reproducible beliefs because of that relentless training in rationality.
I also don't need to hedge my bets. No
Pascal's Wagerisms here; that's just the crutch of the un-brave! I am indeed a spiritual atheist; those terms are not incompatible. Think of it: full-fledged functioning glorious spiritualism but just absent
The Flying Spaghetti Monster, or his exact Abrahamic equivalent!
Works for me; Mmmmm! What a glorious sunrise we had this morning!
