Even if someone sent that to me with snarky intentions, I'd rather thwart them and choose to take it in the spirit of xmas. Happy holidays!
That's why you are tilli and I am TigerLady36. Religion offends me. I would rather not have people try to push off their insecurities on me, whether they know I do not share their beliefs or not. In my opinion it is arrogant for anyone to think that everyone else believes what they do. I don't go around accosting people with my beliefs when I'm not even asked.

I suspected snarkyness because I'm so new here and many of my posts have been on this board.

Some will be simple, "cute" messages like yours, and others will just be sad and pathetic attempts at flirting. Like I said, it's just my hunch, but I'm guessing that has something to do with it.
Good grief! Never thought of that one!!! Thanks for your input!!!

That does sound weird. Did you check with the Mods??

Thanks to all who have responded kindly and also to those who have welcomed me. It's nice to know there are people out there who will go a little out of their way to make someone feel welcome.

Well, I guess I stand corrected. Apparently some people are offended by a sparkly tree and well-wishes and refuse to accept such greetings in the spirit in which they are intended. I personally don't think that wishing a happy holiday for someone, even if it is a holiday you don't celebrate, rises anywhere near "pushing their insecurities" on you. If it was one of those "Jesus is the reason for season" preachy-type messages I would understand more where you are coming from, but Merry Xmas w/ sparkly tree just doesn't seem worthy of getting all bent out of shape over imo.

Too bad that it does not seem to be reciprocal when your personal itch needs scratched.
