i will admit that i do not have the same purpose i had when i was a believer , however , this is wholey coincidental , something happened to me thirteen years ago which rocked me to my core , the loss of faith just followed and its not as if i was a devout believer anyway , therefore i conced it may be very different for those who merley arrived at an non thiest possition through natural development

I have never understood why believers think their belief gives them "purpose" and without that belief, they'd have nothing, unless the purpose is to go to heaven and atheists don't have that option as a goal.
I prefer the idea of "tikkun olam" whether one Jewish or not. All this obsession about going to heaven or being eternal or whatever seems quite narcissistic to me.
