Seems if all else fails when the theist attempts to persuade others to join them in their willful ignorance, they resort to the bully tactics of threats.

Fear is clearly the driving force behind christianity and if they can't force the utter stupidity of fear of a maniacal god that will send you to hell into your head, they threaten you with with physical harm or harming people you care about, to childish name calling and taunting, and all the other tactics cowardly bullies resort to.

I can agree with that.

It's awful that in a so-called enlightened society a child could be threatened for standing up for her rights.

What's worse: she was standing up for all of our rights.

This girl is an angry militant atheist.

Most atheist could care less about what hangs in the wall. However, she is a devout atheist and 100% intolerant regarding the views of others. Almost cultish in her behavior.

^^^^^ speaking of hate filled people.

But you would be cheering her efforts if she were a christian that demanded that a muslim prayer be removed, which would show your true colors of hypocrisy wouldn't it

And we need more angry people else we be overrun by the stupidity of the sheep that just bleat their learned by rote hatred.

Not at all. The religious belief system of other people do not bother me. I am reminded of how the European Atheists are not anal about religion and even send their kids to Christian schools. This lack of intolerance by some American Atheists is puzzling and in fact similar to the intolerance of bible fundamentalists. That is quite ironic .

No it isn't. If she demanded that a plaque be put up stating "There is no God!" then you'd have a point. But she didn't demand this.

It is a sign of intolerance or at least a sign of extreme insecurity. I suspect she was indoctrinated or even encouraged to do this. Furthermore, the words seemed quite harmless.

Other than Our father the whole thing is not religious at all.

Quote:
Our Heavenly Father. Grant us each day the desire to do our best. To grow mentally and morally as well as physically. To be kind and helpful to our classmates and teachers. To be honest with ourselves as well as with others. Help us to be good sports and smile when we lose as well as when we win. Teach us the value of true friendship. Help us always to conduct ourselves so as to bring credit to Cranston High School West. Amen.

This is simply a very anal person that was encouraged to do this. Or perhaps she simply wanted her 15 minutes of fame. This sort of thing is a waste of time and money for all involved . At some point the militant extreme atheists need to understand that religion can be part of secular culture. Even Dawkins sings Xmas Carols.

This is what they're taking down?

What a great victory for atheism.
