Can anyone explain good and evil with the scientific method?

Moot question.

"Good" and "evil" are merely points of perspective, differing with each individual. Beneficial and damaging can be scientifically proven, good and evil cannot.

The concepts of good and evil come from moral ideas about right and wrong.

And morality evolved in humans from non-human ancestors because it provides evolutionary advantages to species.

No, that can't be explained scientifically because they can't be measured.

I think first you'd have to define Good and evil in terms that can be subjected to the scientific method. Then we could have a crack at it. If you can't do that, of course, then the concepts are subjective and open to interpretation and is no more a question for science than is art, dance or music.

good and evil are caricatures of right and wrong.

only God is good.
we are at best 'right'

That is not only a non -explanation of good and evil in any meaningful terms, but is not an explanation of anything. Saying that we can 'at best' only get it right doesn't help explain right or wrong in the least.

Saying that God is good only confuses matters since, whether one takes 'God' as nature or the god of the Bible 'good' in any moral sense is evidently not what it is.

At best it is so much in charge that it can call anything it wants to do 'good' and what are we going to do about it?

I don't care for dictators.

So you are saying that when someone is wrong about something, they are by your definition "evil"?

If you go to the grocery and happen to pick a rotting piece of fruit to eat you are evil?

What a black and white world you must live in.

"God" actually proves the point that good and evil can't be measured directly.

"God" murdered all the first born Egyptians in the last plague of Egypt. According to the Hebrews this act was "good". According to the Egyptians this act was "evil".
