I had some pretty devout Christians as bosses at my former workplace, and religion would crop up daily in some form or another. They were pretty "low-information" so-to-speak. Lots of ghost stories, eerie coincidences, angels, signs from god, etc. got dragged into various discussions (of which I avoided at all costs).

New job, in a pretty liberal town, with some pretty easy-going people who seem to have little to no care about that kind of stuff--never comes up and I'm happy for it.

I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving though--last time I went to thanksgiving, my father and I got into a pretty heated discussion about religion, evolution, all the fun stuff. Some 50 people (most of them religious to some degree, several "born-again") tuned their ears in to listen to The Heathen speak.

Religion come up in day-to-day life for any of y'all?

Like the OP, when I lived in the Southeast in a very conservative town I'd generally hear some mention of religion or the supernatural at least once a day, sometimes more. But in my current town, never, luckily.

It's just a general thing where we live in the Midwest. People mention confirmation, christenings, other religious celebrations; but that's it. That doesn't bother me at all. Due to family issues, I spent the last five months in Mississippi. That. Was. Awful. It was completely awful. A family member was in the hospital for 4 weeks, and multiple times a time I heard about Jesus, healings, God's plan, blah, blah, blah. I was enraged when a Baptist pastor entered a packed elevator and started to preach. I was more enraged when my family member's ER doc asked her if "her heart was right with God" before having her wheeled to oncology for antibiotics and meds for congestive heart failure. I was shaking during that encounter. For me, after living in the NE and the upper Midwest, I felt this behavior was outrageous. I do feel very bad for atheists and agnostics and the apathetic living in the south, especially the rural south. It can be a mind-numbing experience, not to mention an enraging one as well.

I live in the least religious State in America, Vermont. Religion comes up maybe twice a year at work.
