cant help but judge a state by its political leanings/leaders.. I almost feel sorry for the everyday folks who live there and then I back up and relize they elected this slack jawed knuckle dragger ..
But, but but... I thought it was Christianity that has been attacked for years on end. It's not an attack. It's a backlash against stupid religious laws like this.
Is it only me that can see this country going in the toilet ,largely because of the blatent fight against reverence toward God ?
Because a reverence for God usually generates honesty and accountability, knowing one will have to stand before his creator one day.
Yes people will wear the badge they want to sell, them selves, however God knows the difference .
It is not Christianity but those whom falsely wear the badge.
The person ,not the faith is responsible for his action.
The precepts of christianity do not promote immoral behavior or the twisting of Jesus teaching to fit a compromise to modern behavior.
According to Revelations in the bible ,All liars will end in Hell.
And the meaning of all means, ALL .
Religious training that permits lies, is simply not of God .
Jesus made that clear.
This is the litmis test, to all things.
This law is in DIRECT violation of the U.S. Constitution. Screw Kentucky!
According to the story, the penalty is for Homeland Security officials who don't install a plaque: "The law requires that plaques celebrating the power of the Almighty God be installed outside the state Homeland Security building--and carries a criminal penalty of up to 12 months in jail if one fails to comply" So, how does this make it dangerous for athiests in KY?
Are you saying that preachers should not hold office?
Anybody who publicly and explicitly states that they hold any law or authority above the US Constitution is lying under oath if he raises his hand and swears to uphold the Constitution. And therefore should not hold office, and should be imprisoned if he swears to such an oath and then does not uphold the Constitution above any other law. The same as if he is a witness in court an takes the oath to tell the truth, and then lies because he is led by his "higher law" to lie.

I do. I think anybody prone to "magical thinking" has woefully flawed judgement from the get go and is not qualified to make rational decisions for the rest of society. Arleigh's post above is a perfect example of this kind of thinking.
Just like (I hope) you think that anybody who hears voices in their head or thinks Papa Smurf is the messiah should never hold office.
Eh..excuse me.....have any of you actually READ this law? You may want to read the law before you go onto an international venue and make complete asses out of yourselves. Just a thought.
