It's not a proposition from Vitkenstein.
I think you missed the point.
As a percentage of ALL Americans there are fewer atheists in prisons. Atheists tend not to be law breakers. They tend to understand the need for societal laws and abide by them.

Perhaps, if we knew the percentage of African Americans who were athiest we would also find a lower per cent of them in prisons, too.

There is more crime in certain neighborhoods resulting in more policing being done there, resulting in more arrests of people from those areas. Unfortunately, we arrest people for things as simple as smoking pot, which is horrible and a lot of people are in jail because of that.

What I am thinking is that I'll bet atheists tend, more than the population at large, to be better educated and probably have better jobs than the population at large and so live in lower crime areas with fewer police and fewer arrests. But that's just speculation on my part.

I think you mean Witgenstein, the philosopher, not Vitkenstein? Vichtenstein is a geographical area in Austria, which I am sure you did not mean.

I don't know if anyone has posted this interview before with Ricky Gervais and Richard Dawkins (apologies if anyone has):

Richard Dawkins & Ricky Gervais on Religion - YouTube

My favourite two parts are:
In a game of top trumps, believers must always choose faith over logic.
Once mankind was given free will, God wiped his hands of the whole thing, - its not his fault anymore. He tried once with the flood, now he's letting us all get on with it.

I love the way he gets his point across with this sort of imagery.
