A show called Belle's on the TVONE network. The atheist part begins at around the 10:50 minute mark. I was really disgusted by the ending.

It might be doing the atheist a favour in the end.

The Atheist did pretty well in life. He used to be the court baliff on "Judging Amy", and now he is the Governor of Hawaii on "Hawaii Five-0".

It kind of highlights the prejudice of the religious, and for that reason I liked it.

I don't blame the people for rejecting the Atheist. Maybe their religion is super important to them.

We all want to be with people who have the same basic views that we have. I would not want to be married to a wild-eyed Liberal or a bible thumping religious findamentalist. I would definitely not be married to someone who did not respect our American culture and form of government.

I can associate with people like that at the golf course, but I would not want them in my life.

It showed how misinformed about atheism some believers are when the question is asked; "How can you love anyone if you don't love god?" Also, the atheist character was completely accepted until he confessed to being an atheist, then he became a leper. Despite all of that, the show did give some passing support for the notion that atheists are on the wrong side of the fence.

People have the right to make their own choices, just like I have zero interest in ever marrying a religious nut.
