When they do, they don't blow a trumpet about it, nor do they do it as an organized religious initiative, as atheism is not an organization nor a religion.

Finally, if the point is to compare the charitable works of atheism unfavourably with those of Catholicism ...no, we won't go there ... I would say that atheism may not offer free soup, but it does offer the truth (not to be confused with the 'Truth' [T.M] which is a euphemism for unquestioning faith in hogwash).
