Ah yes, this happened to my mom and me when my brother killed himself. People don't think before they talk sometimes. There were some doozies. Like it wasn't hard enough, like we didn't ponder why enough.

I read these comments about God and think, that's why I don't believe it. Making life harder when it does't have to be seems awfully silly. IMO.

Of course, no theist will believe that is even possible. I can tell them I was a believer for thirty years, prayed & studied my Bible every day, attended church 3x a week, taught Sunday School, played piano and organ in church and in jail services, attended a Bible Institute -- in short, I was a more involved and better trained layperson than the vast majority, and probably than the person I'm talking to -- and it still doesn't compute. I must be making it up. Just isn't possible.
Well Mordant ole buddy - people like us need many many many many many many many lessons. lol

I don't believe in any version of "god" that I have heard of. I think I learn a lot more real things about real people that way.
