Hmmm... "...any church, including an atheist one..."

Please nana; point out where you DON'T refer to an atheist church and all it implies about atheists organizing an official religion. Noting, of course, that those ideas require some sort of official guidebook, special money-gathering times and places where they meet, on early Thursday mornings, where (official atheist's day?) TV atheism-evangelist ministers have at it! (But DO let me know the channel though: I can never find a good atheist rave on TV...!)

While there are indeed a few organized atheist groups, there are also several Chrysanthemum Appreciation groups! But that does not make every flower gardener party to such groups. Most of them, and most of all atheists as well, just don't give a damn about expressing their non-beliefs, and they certainly don't need to be coached on why.

Rather, they have either figured out the obvious on their own, or they simply don't have the time, the need, the well-coached fear-factor or the interest for the official Christian gobbly-speak that is wantonly spewed weekly by tens of thousands of churches in the US alone. Let alone Australia..

Yup: the cash! That'd be the real driver of Christianity. Just check out the ocean-view digs of Benny Hinn and his new mistress, and even that of his divorced wife. Or the humble homesteads of banana man Ray Comfort, Hovind, the Graham family, that now-gone Hour of Power from the now bankrupt Crystal Cathedral (after the father, wasshisname, made off with all the funds.. very Christian of him!) etc etc. Not quite like your house and mine, now is it?

yes and the lovely loving religious folks that would die defending the constitution that protects freedom of religion (or lack of belief) will of course protest....funny how that works.

I was referring to the OP's Atheist congregation, not saying I wanted one or thought their should be one.
