The GSA is in the news again. The Archbishop of St. Louis recently wrote a letter to his flock warning about the Girl Scouts' ungodly behavior. I started a thread on it in R&S. The letter has hit the blogosphere and by extension Facebook.

Probably not. Most people want to mix religion with their violence and "feelings" entertainment. But who knows.

He mentioned taking a trip -- Bali and/or an eclipse. I'm not sure if one was a past trip and the other a future trip, or if it was Bali for an eclipse.

Ah yes that does sound familiar now that you mention it.

Brilliant! I'd just feel awkward and mumble the words "God and the Queen" (this was in Canada), or just stay silent and hope no one would notice. Being a kid, this was mostly about how I thought I should feel being an 'Indian Hindu' upset about colonialism. For me, I thought it was exclusive of polytheists, although to be honest even then I was at heart an atheist but hadn't yet fully figured that out.
