Happy Halloween, everyone!

It's the only holiday with a (vague) religious background that I actually like!

Saint Valentine's Day can be good or bad, depending upon how your love life is going at the time.

You can be forgiven for not knowing that. I simply had a vague recollection of encountering copies of it years ago and so looked it up.
In the late 70s my late mil would send us both Awake and Watchtower, but cannot remember which was worse. I stopped reading them when an article stated that dogs do not have a soul and because they die it proves that God and Heaven are real. My dogs have made up better stories in an attempt to get treats and they could not speak. 😀

Yes, I've been passing JW's with Awake! in train stations for decades.

Have you tried not eating them?

I stand corrected. I made that assumption because the copy I was given was labelled 'issue 5'.

I'd assume Issue five for the year. It reminds me of the glossy Mag issued by the old BCM Ambassador radio fundamentalists after their end of World Predictions failed to materialize. The "Plain truth" (which as you might expect was full of lies) infested the News -stands for several years and vanished in 80's I suppose they have morphed into some Creation ministry or other.

Makes me wonder though - we really might be able to use an A/A-Humanist Worldwide magazine. In more languages than the Bible.

I think I've mentioned this before...I had a friend in Marin County who took a Watchtower cover, drew a big red circle with a slash across it on the cover, laminated it and hung it on her front door.

It's a relief when someone Gets one of mine
Apropros of not very much, anyone notice that the amazing prophecied (scheduled for Reformation -day Oct 31st)c reconciliation of Catholicism and protestantism (apparently, despite Catholicism having accepted Luther's take on the Christian doctrine, Protestants becoming Catholic rather than the other way around) doesn't seem to have happened. Another public laughing stock to add to the endless string of failed -prophecy -mongers.
