Protests only work when rights are involved and violated. Protesting for not getting your way is just whining and crying.

Do you really not understand why people are upset over this? Half the country voted in a man that uses fear tactics against immigrants like calling them rapist and then turn around that in actuality he sexually assaults women. "Grab her P*****" Then the women should be flattered somehow because a sexual assault from him means your hot. How is it OK that he makes fun of the disabled? How is any of that OK? At what point does your conscious get the better of you and you Nope the hell out? He ticked off every group he could.

Explain to me how you see the situation?

I would repeat what L8Gr8 said with the addition that the reason this bothers me so much is because Trump is SOO unscientific and says sooo many dumb things yet people still vote for him. It's not just the fact that I don't like Trump, it's that almost half of voters voted for him. That is disturbing.

There's enough people in America who don't give a damn about science, morals, ethics, research, or plain thinking that someone like Trump could become president.

Yes, it's disheartening. Yes, I'll probably keep talking about it.

I am sure a few of those people are whining but the majority of them are simply voicing / announcing their opposition to his clearly stated policies and plans.

I am ok with the protest as long as they don't break other people stuff. This was an emotional election and people need to relieve extra emotional energy in positive way. Trump said some hurtful things and I hope he hears what they say. let the Lady liberal jump around and cry with their whubbiez knowing they will have to work for their keep. They will be held accountable for making bad choices in life.

After that they should list what he said. We should not pay for illegal immigrants health care. If they have children; the children are illegal immigrants. We can't get rid of all of them so just do what we can. The people that wanted to move to canada should move to mexico. that is reasonable, I don't care who your are.

tariff war. Its a bummer and will hurt but we need to get manufacturing back. Although it has been, maybe just not fast enough for me. Tax breaks for companies and More tax breaks for minorities and urban zones. Jobs mean hope. They may have to work harder than they like, that's a bummer too lady lib.

Oil. Take Iraq's oil this time. Build them mollusks, hospitals, and schools. Clean water, clean streets, and clean homes. All they want. And that oil should pay our debt down. No need to "shell" isis to much when people have hope.

Wall in California with "liberals welcome" signs. In 20 years lets see what side of the wall is better. History has shown, socialism, without capitalist support, fails.

Here is a morality quiz if anyone wants to see how their values stack up against each other. I think this election has highlighted how differently we see the world.

I consider myself liberal and I pretty much gave the same answers as other liberals.

Mine Average liberal Average conservative

Harm: 4.0 3.7 3.1
Fairness: 3.8 3.8 3.1
Loyalty: 2.5 2.2 3.1
Authority: 1.8 2.1 3.3
Purity: .7 1.4 3.0

I think I scored so low on purity defining morality out of reaction to being raised in a cult. It does look like conservatives are more even across the board on these 5 traits of morality than us liberals.

err .... yeah, I stop at the sign in.

work hard, earn your keep, and you are accountable for your actions. Some just don't believe that.

If a parent breaks a child and turns it loose on the rest of us, its that parents fault. Its not my kids fault.

Did you not read where I said I left home at 19 with $50 in my pocket and a jacked up sense of "the world"? When I was 16 years old my mom stopped giving me money to eat lunch at school so she could afford gas to spread the good news. She had long since stopped spending money on any clothing for me and I got by on hand me downs from some nice women I knew from the hall. I got nothing from my parents. Also I was repeatedly told that I would never "make it" because I had left Jehovah. Never, never have I gotten something for nothing besides a few friends that let me couch surf so I wouldn't be homeless. I have worked 2 jobs and overtime most of my life. Turn your personal responsibility back on yourself and figure out why you need someone to "blame".

Fun at the in-laws:

FIL: Across the way live two gay guys and sometimes they have gay parties.
Me: Or as they call it, parties.
