Orthodox jews? Don't know much about them but I appreciate that they keep to themselves rather than trying to convert all the non-believers.

I like that they can follow their beliefs without outlawing things that go against their beliefs for everyone else.

I do love bacon.

I grew up with many Jewish folk, as there were plenty of Jewish families in my neighborhood and in my school. They're just like any other group - I got along with most, and religion never really played a role. There is also the further blurring of lines because many of my Jewish friends are functionally atheist but enjoy the cultural trappings and camaraderie that Judaism provides.

I will, however, agree with some of the sentiments expressed by others in this thread: fundamental/ultra-orthodox Judaism is just as creepy and unsettling to me as any other fundamentalist in other religions.

That is what I have also found to be true. They like being part of the club.

^^^^ Very true. Large proportions of Jews are atheists. Some of it might be cultural .. some of it might be education ...

I think you are either very confused or trying really hard to be offensive. In case you are confused, Jews worship a god. They call him Hashem generally, becasue they usually don't write or say YHWH. They believe that there is only one god, and that their god is it. They do not believe that he is triune, or that he has a son. They do not believe that Jesus was the messiah that their scriptures promise, as he did not fulfill the prophecies that will reveal the messiah.

They do not believe in your god, but they do believe in a god.

I am not sure failing to worship your particular god is the same thing as "rejecting god". They subscribe to just as many unsubstantiated god nonsense as you do. Just different unsubstantiated god nonsense.

More unsubstantiated and baseless nonsense. Just another brand of your own unsubstantiated and baseless nonsense.

They have better costumes and outfits than most religions though. Especially the Dresses the catholic priests wear while praying over crackers.
