I recently had an extended absence, including 2 months spent in a hospital. When I finally got back to my computer, I had DMs waiting from friends concerned because I hadn't posted for a long time. I also had a couple of contacts about my absence after I got back and made a few posts.

Yep. Lots of people care about our little community here.

Just saw this! That's sad, he'll be missed by many, including myself.

I have been away for awhile and wondered why my bud wasn't assisting me in conquering the topics at hand. Wow, this is a real pause, he was such a wonderful writer. I use to message him about producing a book with his talent, I'm an avid fan of his writing.

He will be missed continuously by me as I make my way around these threads, as I wait for Rifles poetic and hilarious back up. Boy, it's amazing how attached you get on here. I will really miss that guy.

Thoughts for the family, it was a great thing to be touched by his wit. I would share his posts with family and friends. He will be greatly missed that's for sure. I'll have to re read through some posts of his and say my goodbyes. Bye Rifleman ole buddy, I'll try and keep real for ya!!!

Yes, we do! I was touched when someone said welcome back to me, I didn't realize they would notice my absence. Some of these people have been talking with me for years, Rifle was one of those. Sharing your thoughts and stories with others for so long you take for granted how attached you really get. I would consider most of you all my friends.

Yeah I'm sad to hear this. I've gotten into a couple of topics with him. He and many others helped me to refine my knowledge concerning religion during my time on these forums. It's because of those discussions, I have a better understanding with those who disagree with me. I have a better understanding overall.

I'm thinking of his family today and their first Holiday Season without him.
