I never met rifleman (Don) in person, but would have liked to. I loved his posts and personal messages. I will miss him around these forums. I hope that his family will grieve as they should and move on with their great memories of him.

WOW
one of my favorite people on these forums, I learned much from his posts and his messages.
I appreciate the update; I knew of his illness, and his condition, chronic and painful but at least he is no longer suffering. He lived a good life.

I see rifle as the grizzly he once studied and no-doubt admired - feasting on a few late-running salmon, fattening up for a cozy winter's sleep - and then facing a new Spring dawn.

One of the best posters on C-D. Why do all the good people leave before their time?

Rifleman was a great member here on City-Data and no doubt an even greater man in real life. His posts were always energetic, uniquely written, and thought provoking to say the least. I know his musings played a big role in my transition as I was looking for answers on religious matters just a few short years ago.

This forum will simply not be the same without him

He will most definitely be missed.....

There are many members here on City-Data, but only a handful really stand out from the rest of the crowd. Your father was definitely one them. He has made a huge impact on this forum and many of it's members.
