From my FB feed:
From Don's family: We are sad to share with you all that Don passed away on Saturday evening. As some of you may know, he had not been well for some time. Though we are deeply saddened by the loss, we are grateful that he is no longer suffering. We're thankful for his life and cherish the times we spent with him.

I am so sad to hear the news, but appreciate you making the effort to let us know.

Don was in my thoughts and prayers every day. I sincerely hope he is looking down now and realizing the things he could not appreciate when he was here, especially just how many people really cared about him!

Riflmn, I'll miss you man!

You were a great guy and you taught me a lot even though I never got to meet you face-to-face. Thank you for making my world a little bit better.

Well, he impacted me. That's weird though because he had posted just a few days before.

What he looked like in RL.
His comment on this pic:
In my driveway just before I sold it; yet another icon of my fading youth! I once drove this little lovely speedster @ about 125mpg average down the Yellowhead, from Edmonton to Burnaby non-stop [≈ 1100 miles], just to see a v. special person... All night long.. Ahhh the dedication to our emotions, huh?

So glad you shared - it's really nice to put a face with the name and "picture" him in better days!
