The first time this happened to me I was working in my garage. All of a sudden I hear someone say "do you want to learn about Jesus little girl". Firstly, I really really don't appreciate someone walking up and surprising me on my own property (can be very dangerous to said person), and secondly, the fact he approached my daughter without even acknowledging me induced a furious tirade that has practically blackballed me from their campaign.

The second time I answered the door right after I had gotten home from work, and noticed that the first thing they saw was a holstered Glock 23 on my hall tree.

I have not had any more visits.

I wish religious nutters would knock on my door, I'd have some fun with them.

I have gotten a few at my apartment. I see them through the peep hole and usually ignore them sometimes they get me off guard and I still answer the door. My grandma is a Jehovahs Witness so she does this and she says people have thrown rocks at her slammed doors in their faces etc etc. Im an atheist but Im not rude. I have told the people who come to my door that I am an atheist and they question it. I simply tell them, I donít question your faith so donít question mine. Then say I have to go because I have food on the stove.

I occasionally get someone at the door, but never anyone overly pushy. Simply telling them I am not interested usually gets them moving on their way.

Maybe it isn't this way everywhere, but I think they are generally just the normal congregation who is being pushed into doing door to door evangelism, and are just nervous and trying to get through their assigned "route" without incident.
