In this holiday season we have Kwanza, Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice and New Years......it is a season of Holidays, not just the Christmas Season. In my family we to some degree celebrate all 5 holidays.
The greeting "Happy Holidays" isn't intended to be a slight to anyone and it isn't anti Christian.....it recognizes the multitude of reasons to celebrate.....and the richness of our diverse culture. Whether you decorate a Christmas tree or a Hanukkah bush; light a hanukkiah or put Christmas Candles in your window....in this the darkest time of the year ..... we can all use more light. There are many reasons to rejoice.
I have just come to the conclusion that nearly all Christians are warring against Muslims cause they never wish me a Happy Eid. I don't even get a "Happy Holiday" from them, forget about "Happy Eid" also I notice Christians never put up any Eid decorations. That is absolutre proof they are warring against the 2 Eids.

I say Merry Christmas because it is the main celebration of the season. The Happy Holidays thing is just too PC for me. If there is a Jewish Holidays I say happy Jewish Holiday. And if I meet some black people doing Kwanza I say Happy Kwanza. When In Rome do as the Romans.
Ugh. I got a lot of this last year on my FB page. Sadly, many of it was from my family members. I finally got so sick of it and shot back, "what about those people who are Jewish, Buddhist, anything else BUT Christian? Don't they get to celebrate what they're celebrating for? Are you that ignorant to think there's only one religion in the world?" And then I wrote, "happy holidays to all my friends who are of different religions".
Needless to say, no one had an answer for me. But yes, they all felt that it was a personal attack on Christmas and Christianity when others say "happy holidays". Bite me.
