Camel Bones Challenge the Bible's Timeline - Study: It was written much later than the events it describes

Looks like Abraham didn't have camels at his disposal after all.

Well, yes, this is not something believers are going to lose sleep over, in the main. I was raised in the faith with the notion that there is no significant archeological disagreement with the biblical narrative that has not been undermined or debunked with later discoveries. I now see that this is another one of those clever chestnuts that allows them to overlook something like this because it will be sorted out in the future.

The Bible is not a history book and its timeline is not an issue. However, I don't understand how a set of of bones (attributed to a certain era) proofs that camels didn't exist before...
They did the same with human bones and decided modern humans didn't exist prior to X, only to "adjust" the theory when older remains were found. Being at odd with the findings, theoreticians now believe several branches of humans' ancestors existed...

They were able to date archaeological layers to near-decade resolution and there were no bones in the earlier layers. Since these were trade / distribution centers, the absence of bones means, at the very least, that camels were not used in trading prior to those years in that region. Perhaps Abraham had PET camels?

Of course, it IS possible that conflicting data will eventually come to light, and yes, in that case the theory will be "adjusted". This is a strength, not a weakness.

Hardly. The Bible continues to be affirmed more and more as time goes by.

like the talking snake? is that being "affirmed more and more" as the time goes by?
what about the idea of having slaves for ones self? is that being affirmed more and more too?
what about the idea that the earth is 6k years old when there are art on some walls dating older than that. is that being "affirmed more and more as time goes on"?

You mean like the fact that there is no evidence for the exodus, or even that the Israelites were ever in Egypt?
