The first sentence was actually a joke that pointed to a truly often heard and comedic stance from the Heaven enthusiasts.

You and him aren't that grand, right? No need for me to pay attention to either of you then (that's another joke that shows a truth, if you missed it)

Take for instance political ideologies that totally ignore human nature. Something as absurd as the 'laws' of supply and demand assume humans always behave out of rational self-interest. DUH!
Or something as absurd as the "state-less communistic law and order" which also ignores baser parts of human natures. Sorry, I couldn't find a response that would be funny even for me, unlike I did for the rest of the responses here. Maybe the self-contradiction is a little bit funny.

It's not lost, it is rationalized (that is to say, reorganized). But there is always a straw that breaks the camel's back... maybe then he can get through the eye of a needle Although I would assume one would need a few more breaks here and there. For someone making up their mind, it would be a bit more founded.

Maybe there are two heavens - one for boring saintly types and one for those of us who like to party.

Which one would you pick?

My bet is that not one religious person on this board would view the OP's video. All "hell" the atheists!!

God Bless Richard Dawkins!!

(See what I did there?) LOL

But seriously, the man is one of my heroes insofar as outspoken Atheists are concerned. He is a learned many, an extremely educated Oxford graduate, PhD Evolutionary Biologist. I have read all of his books. I minored in Biology in college. He appeals to reason and logic and he rightfully believes that superstition is having a deleterious affect on the world, particularly my own country. And that it gets in the way of valuable science.

Since Dawkins rails against religion, an since more people have been killed in the name of religion, and more wars waged then for any other reason, I truly believe he should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. As he is advocating for the banishment of something which causes death. Think about it!

I just finished reading his excellent book "The Greatest Show on Earth."

Christopher Hitchens was another favorite of mine, may he rest in peace.
