A quibble - an unknown isn't not valid, it's not supported. The unknown proposition may be valid, as in factual, but it is not supported by evidence. And therefore, basing a contention on it would be an invalid argument.

You can't.

Discussing metaphysics can be entertaining and thought-provoking, depending on the other parties to the discussion.

But why wouldn't a resident of Maryland believe in the Snallygaster? It's certainly as plausible as any of the other beings that people believe to exist.

I don't thinks it's a goof. I think you are kinda showing it and him respect. for listing it twice. I love those planes. My pop was a 517th attack paratrooper in ww2. I don't know if my catholic upbringing or he screwed me up more. I am more of a ground pounder then dog fighter anyway.

The dog fighters are way to "even keeled" for me. To me it's not a dance in death, it's a slug fight with guys holding chains saws. It is get slippery as all get out when the inners fall on the floor. thats a T-bolt.

Of course, but if you go public with it, expect to be called upon to provide a very convincing case. That we built the stuff ourself is the 'default'. That it was done by aliens with power tools is the claim. Burden of proof is on the claimant.

Pointing to unexplaineds like how the Inca cut rocks with Llama sinews and sand and not much else is not proof that aliens did it with lasers (especially as lasers don't cut in curves) it is unexplained.

The objections to gods from outer space as well as the gods from outa head is the same and equally valid. Here endeth the very basic lesson, routinely uncomprehended by the religious apologist. Which is why I regard all their arguments as a dead duck from the start.
