I say nothing. Even when I was a christian, I preferred saying nothing when someone sneezes. I always found it weird that strangers in stores or wherever would comment on another person's bodily noises. No one says bless you when a person coughs, hiccups, passes gas, or their stomach growls. I consider it more polite to pretend I didn't hear it.

I say "Bless you" despite having shrugged off the shackles of Christianity many decades ago.

It never hurts to wish someone well. It's as ubiquitous and harmless as "Have a nice day."

Probably comes out more like "bleh-shoe" by me, but figures of speech barely even register on my "heathen radar."

"Gesundheit", or if someone looks easily offended "God bless you!" followed by "In nomine Christis" (in my best gregorian chant-style voice) while making the sign of the cross at them. Sometimes I throw in a "Out, demon!" for good measure... If they've sneezed more than twice, I just say "Shut up already!"

Results vary, let me tell ya!

I say that, too. The uncomprehending stare I get is as appropriate a response as a *groan* is the correct response to a gruesome pun.

I actually say "Bless you" (without the god) when and if I'm inclined to comment.

I figure my blessings are as helpful as any god's...so why not bestow them on others?

I see no reason to comment at all. I do not comment on any of their other bodily functions. So why this one?
