We were created through a chemical and physical process, just like everything else in the Universe.

You seem to forget that at one point, we were unaware of the existence of microbes and virus, some of which caused diseases and illnesses. Blame for disease and illness was laid on the gods, on invisible gases, on colored biles and many other imaginary things and beings, before science discovered the real true cause.

Life is not unique to Earth. It's plentiful in Universe, as everyone will eventually come to learn.

The fact that we're not completely certain about the events that created the present Universe, is not a reason to believe that a god created it. It may take centuries, or even millennia to discover the real truth, but eventually humans will uncover it.

I do indeed agree with a portion of what you've stated here. However, to state with any certainty that humans WILL uncover the truth concerning the origin of the universe seems just a tad too presumptuous to me...

It would appear that you've possibly over-estimated human intelligence to some extent. We must always remember that no matter how much knowledge one may have, that possessed knowledge will always be dwarfed by our insurmountable degree of ignorance.

We must always remain cautious about the amount of intellect with which we credit ourselves. We must always remain vigilant concerning our dubious status as human beings.

We possess far too many intellectual imperfections to predict any significant future milestone discovery related to cosmology.

How, exactly, did mere chemical and physical processes become aware of themselves?

The science you either pretend does not exist, or that you misrepresent, says otherwise.

You're asking a confused question.

Chemical and physical processes are not self-aware. Organisms are. And not just human organisms. Various primates, cetaceans, and some other animals - elephants, some birds, etc. - possess self-awareness. You clearly see self-awareness as some sort of attribute unique to humans, and explainable solely by the non-explanation of GodDidIt!. Of course, this is nonsense. Self-awareness is simply a matter of cognition, and it is no surprise that its presence correlates with intelligence. Cognitive ability is related to both neural and synaptic volume as well as complexity. Those organisms that have developed an evolutionary strategy largely based on critical thinking reach a physical capacity (speaking of brains) where self-awareness is possible. And since it has utility in survival, it is utilized by those organisms possessing it. Thus, self-awareness is not some high hurdle that some life has inexplicably cleared but is simply an ability that is normally developed when brains achieve a certain capacity. This is an unusual capacity, but then so are a great many biological attributes. It is hardly unique

The It'sMagic! claim is made only by you, as a strawman at which to whack.

Thank you. How kind.

I personally don't think that being religious is a bad thing, unless it's perverted into an evil ideology like Isis. Most religious people follow a good moral fiber, it's the fanatics that give religion a bad name. It's the lack of respect on both sides of the fence that divides and is destructive.

I don't care which God you choose to believe in, or not. What matters is who you are on the inside and do you have respect for different opinions. One size must fit all does not belong on either side, because we never all think alike.

The part where you're not allowed to have pre-marital sex, masturbate, or watch pornography is another one.

Apparently a Christian God/Jesus created humans without the intention of them having any fun.
