I could not disagree more with this statement, there is nothing to be "Cured" from, it's just letting go of a belief. Atheism for the gazillionth time is not a belief! I am the perfect example of being freed from the torture that is fundamentalism and adhering to what is the only reasonable stance, not a belief. If it were a belief system like Christianity or the many other religions, then I would be wearing a crazy hat.
There is science and logic and just plain common sense behind atheism, it's not just a stubborn, stick it to the religious because we're mad at some god, defiant choice. It's actually not a choice once one faces reality. And the reality is there is no evidence, not one iota to prove there is a god. End of story.
