You, however, are just part of a pack - much like the religious in your rules and criteria - and judgement.
I think that you must have speed -read my posts. I know - I have said -that you somewhat grudgingly, signed up to being an atheist. From before then your posts were stridently clinging to 'agnosticism' and for the reason that you wanted to keep the 'god -option' door open.

You have evidently accepted that disbelief = atheism, which doesn't rule out a possible god at all. So what is your actual beef? Since we seem to agree with you on everything. It seems only to be atheist activism depicted as wanting to interfere in peoples' lives, force secularism on everyone and are depicted as arrogant and bossy here. None of that is fair and I keep wondering what is the basis of this beef with 'New' atheism. Even from some atheists it seems. I get Prof. Stav's line She just loves the Bible and sees Dawkins et al as 'attacking' it, though she doesn't believe it herself and complains about the problems that organised Christianity causes her. She doesn't know which side she should be on.

I have read your history and I see where the prejudice has come from (though you may deny it) and it is either a resistance to eliminating religion (as an influence) or just keeping the prejudice going because you are accustomed to it. I don't know - you tell me. Like the good prof. we are on your side, but she doesn't see it. Nor do you.

Well you assumed wrong. That post follows on from who I was referring to in post 432. Get off your 'poor persecuted me' horse will you - otherwise we will be calling you a theist.

I never said I was being persecuted. Why so much anger? It would appear you are the one who feels persecuted. I’m merely stating facts - as in, I’m an atheist and independent thinker.

Don't mind Raffs ...plays guitar in a rock band. It makes one a bit more direct. Mind, I am as nice a guy as one could wish, but you don't seem to be cutting me much slack on that, but are still shouting persecution.

I’m sorry you perceive expressing independent thought as ‘shouting’.

Accusing us of Rulemaking and Fundamentalism is not 'Independent thought', but is shouting. Red faced, hostile, shouting.

Red faced hostile shouting? So you can ‘see’ my face and ‘hear’ me shouting via the computer? Is that some sort of god-like trick you possess? It clearly isn’t working - and neither is the drama. I’m an atheist, not an anti-theist.

Perhaps he can see and hear it in the same way that you can, apparently, see and hear my 'anger' via the computer?

Come on you know I don't mean literal shouting, but strident accusations that owe more to prejudice than to fact. I'm an atheist too, and not an anti -theist, which is something that you invented. So how about that? So you have some godlike perception of we fundamentalist rulemakers? Or are just just going by what you read on the screen - just as I did?

There y'go. We both see the flaw in the argument. CC..why not go back and start over? We don't want to battle you and I hardly know how it happened. I'm trying to understand you and see just what your problem really is - not this invented polemic you keep chucking at us.

I didn’t say I ‘heard’ shouting or ‘saw’ red faces (that’s hallucinations or some type of telepathy). In many of your posts, however, it is not difficult to ‘read’ the anger based on proveable fact i.e. the personal insults (like asking if I had an inferiority complex) over a misunderstanding.
