Thanks, I do feel a bit better seeing this. The issue with his old church had me on edge.

He certainly seems like a reasonable thinking man.

I think that's the most sense I have heard from a politician in years. That is something I have also said for years, or something close anyhow: Many christians will claim that the US is 86 percent christian, but I guarantee if you put a mormon, a catholic, a nazerine, a lutheran and a 7th day adventist in a room together, they will disagree to the point of one killing another. Yet another reason I am not a follower of jeebus; why should I be a follower when the people that worship the same god can't even get their act on the same page?

Thanks for posting this, also liked the other one Is It True About Obama. That is truly the most sense that I have heard from a politician too.

Thanks for sharing that. I love it that he brings up the Levitical law on shellfish being an abomination. I like to use that one, too, in certain religious debates that involve tossing around the word "abomination."

I don't agree with all of Obama's politics, but he does seem like aj intelligent, reasonable, thoughtful man. What a nice change of pace that would be to have in the White House.
