They were not accepted, there has not been this degree of acceptance since Sodom and Gamorrha.

Here is food for thought and discussion. The other possibility is forgery. Gay issues are only listed in a few locations in Christian Bible which would make me think only a small percentage of gays existed in the Christian founding base that were having issues with their gay sexuality. It could be the Church added the negative gay issue after the fact due to issues they had in the church itself. Forgeries and additions to the works are known to exist and are common through out history to manipulate the public and internal views of the church. It is common knowledge in today's Catholic Church there are wide spread sexual issues, I suspect it is true in many extreme right protestant churches also. The repression of natural sexual desires can easily revert to sexual problems, and it may have been the Churches method to repress their own internal (business) problems.
What about Old testament rebukes of homosexuality? Pre Christian, Pre Catholic.
Do you think those are forgeries as well? Not likely. Nice attempt to justify though.

godspeed,

freedom

This just proves that you do not know your history. Try widening your scope of reading beyond just the Bible. You might learn some stuff if you care to.

What about them? Why would I care about those?

You were stating that the NT was adultered, but you left out the OT.

They pick and choose what's convenient for them.

In church they always say that it isn't okay, but the fact that they are being caught for these transgression tells us a different story.

Then they are just church attendees, and not Christians (Christ-like).
