Suggest you let the bananaman know Hitchens is available (see post 17) - probably for free.

Sounds nice...but if Dawkins really wanted to show that his message is superior you'd think he'd man up and go collect his 20 k.

What do you expect? Dawkins has demaned $100 k. He's like the atheist version of a televangelist...he just comes out of his ivory tower once in awhile, waves....picks up a check and goes back in.

I guess money isn't as important as integrity. Must be a non-christian thing.

I don't believe that for a second. He's been happy to take all the money he's made off of his groupies buying his books. He recently spoke in my town, actually (for a fee, of course).

You do realize that 20k is a fraction of what Dawkins is usually given in order to do a speech, right? Why should he drop his price to sit for half an hour and listen to the same old tired arguements that he could dispell in his sleep?

Would you let somebody pay you 1/5th of your current wages to sit you down and tell you you're wrong? No? Are you scared?

And those fees go toward a charity that promotes science education. Did you go?

Making money off a book and lecturing people who sincerly want to learn is a far cry from wasting one's time with a superstitious nut. It would be like debating a Scientologist. You keep bringing up "money"; how much would is cost for you to sacrifice your integrity?

Again, if you read Roxolan's link you would know that Dawkins usually waives his honorarium if he is asked to lecture for students.

He doesn't sound like the greedy monster that is only looking to make cash off his "groupies" as you suggest he is.

to the op's question:

unlike anyone here and on any other internet forum, mr. dawkins shows his face and name and can thus be confronted much more directly.
