IN the above dicussion, much is left out. To the best of my knowlege, there are three variables that determine ones actions. One: Ones past history ie all that has happened to the person in the past. Two: The present situation one finds themselves in. Three; One's level of deprevation. ie if you are hungry you eat. If you are thirsty, you drink. If one is isolated for a while they may grave being around people. If one is bored, they may find some activity to engage in. These are the three determinants which determine if you will do A B or C.

Everything is determined by some sort of causality, all right. I think of ourselves as having a limited range of free will, the boundaries of which are determined by circumstances of birth, location, experiences, etc.
