The word 'miracle' is one of the most overused in the language, along with 'hero'. A miracle is simply something highly unusual which can't be definitively explained given our current state of knowledge. That is, unless it's a complete sham or fabrication, as religious ones tend to be.
Hummmmmmm, I guess I need to think up another term. Several days ago my mother-in-law was planning on an extended visit with us, about a month or so and.... for some inexplicable reason, she cancelled about 2 days before she was scheduled to arrive- I do consider this a miracle.... And cause for great rejoicing! Perhaps, "Reprieve" would be a good alternative wording.
Now I've got that old song Mother-In-Law going in my head. Congratulations on your "reprieve"! As another poster stated, anything sufficiently unlikely is often called a 'miracle'.

Like "mixed emotions" would be defined as seeing your mother-in-law drive off a steep cliff in your brand new Porsche. A miracle would be the Porsche surviving without a scratch!
I've seen miracles: Flowers bloom in spring. Puppies are born. People love each other.
With or without god, with or without explanations, these are wonderful things. Wonderful things are miracles.
If you definition of miracle is sufficiently broad that it includes any cliche' that might find it's way on a hallmark greeting card, then sure, there are miracles.

My definition is probably even a little broader than that! (Yay for me?)
