This is an interesting question. I don't have kids either and as someone who's not religious or even spiritual, I would normally not want to send them to a religious school. But as a parent, my biggest concern would be that they get the best possible education. If I thought that the religious school could do a better job than the public schools, I would send them there. But I would also closely monitor what they learn there. Too many parents are passive when it comes to their kids' education. They drop the kids off and let the school do all the teaching. But responsible parents should take an active role in their child's education. If you don't like what your kids are being taught, get involved. Don't just yank them from one school and put them in another.

For those of you who would send your children to a Catholic School take a look on how it can follow that child through their life. It is from another thread in the P&R forum, but needs to be here as well.
It is a moving speech from one who was abused, and It will stop you in your tracks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jHqndf9Kx4 link on Irish abuse issue.
