Default God Does Prove His Existence

Okay - I should not be here so please don't hate me for this! God does prove His existence. He said all of creation proves and testifies of Him. If you don't believe that, please explain to me.....a flower....? How could something like that just happen? I think sometimes we (all of us) just need to sit and "think" and "observe" all living and non-living things on this Earth. It's amazing and overwelming how everything is "intertwined" with everything else. Look at the colors on a fancy bird - every feather in place. Look at the salt water fish in your local pet store - amazing! God said each and everything will produce after its own kind. No dogs make cats. No apple trees make bananas. I live in amazement everyday. I'm so thankful God gave me eyesight and all of my other senses to enjoy all of these things. What if he only made us one type of food or smell - boring! Anyway, when I met my husband 20 years ago - he didn't believe in God either. The only thing to come to mind right away was my silly question about the flower. Anyway, sorry again for posting.
Chris

I'm sorry, but when I look at a flower if someone says "God", that is not an answer to me. That is only an answer if you believe in God, and we understand that is how it works for you but we require something more than "just believing".

Yes, you should be here. Beautifully put. I agree. A person just need to look around and see the splendor and complexity of nature and realize it couldn't have happened by chance.

Why is it so easy for some to believe in a "big bang" yet hard to believe in an omnipotent creator.

Do you believe in the "big bang" theory? And if so I need proof. Prove it to me.

Default Okay - your answer is?

Okay - what is your best explanation? That's what I want to know. If you had to give it your best guess. How did a flower come into existence? That's what I mean about sitting and "thinking" about it.

I don't know if the Big Bang is true or not.

And I have no best guess as to how a flower came into existence. Besides the standard answer of "nature" (which some argue is God) I have no answer. That is the thing. I don't know, and you don't either. You believe it's God, but no one really knows. I live my life based on facts, not guesses, beliefs, or ancient documents.

SEEING IS BELIEVING! When you say you require something more than "just believing" - you are - you are seeing, smelling, touching & enjoying that flower. Hey, you might even taste it if those miraculous bees made some honey from it! That's what I mean by nobody is "just" believing. We all are seeing, that's why none of us have any excuses when we stand before Almighty God. What more in your opinion could God do to prove himself to you?

Chris

I'm touching, smelling, seeing, and enjoying the flower. Nothing indicates it's from God besides Christians telling me it is.

Default What are others telling you?

Dear Shadow,

What are others telling you? Does it make more or less sense? What could God personally do to prove He is alive to you?

Chris

He could PM me on the forums. I mean seriously I don't know. But seeing flowers like I have all my life sure isn't it. Everyone sees flowers, why isn't everyone Christian then?
