I'm sure the 1st people were able to procreate before science (or the scientific method) was discovered.
Is there a difference between science and religion?
Both are lenses through which we try to explain reality.
The danger lies in specialisation; the same way that a heart surgeon should not perform a neural surgery.
The latest 'scientific' disaster is our latest credit crisis where stock traders and bankers only view life through an economic lens.
The suggestion that religion is only confined to matters of gods is ridiculous; religion is also sociological (which has nothing to do with believing in deities).
Besidez, the smarter we become, the more dangerous we become to ourselves.
When it comes to science I agree with Einstein:
Quote:
We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality.
Albert Einstein
and
Quote:
Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.
Albert Einstein, "Science, Philosophy and Religion: a Symposium", 1941
but most important
Quote:
Imagination is more important than knowledge...
Albert Einstein
The Gospels make sense to me...but some of the stuff that St. Paul is quoted as saying seems to me outrageous nonsense.
Yep!
