I think it might be illegal to make the statements he did about the President. They really do take this sort of thing seriously when someone is obviously trying to encourage someone to commit an act of violence. This guy is an absolute scumbag.

I think it definitely teeters on the brink of trying to encourage someone to commit an act of violence. I don't know under what circumstances it becomes illegal to incite such invectives, though?? I know you can't say "I am going to kill..." when in reference to the President but I don't know to what extent certain opinions can be pursued...

I thought threatening the President was a crime. I googled it and it is and there have been a lot of arrests, it looks like.
