These pedophile priests are worse than The Devil, itself.
When I first read this story it did literally make me sick to my stomach. How can they make such smug statements? How can these men of the cloth demonstrate such a complete lack of compassion for abused children? How can they claim to serve Jesus whilst engaging in such purely political efforts to avoid responsibilty for their actions?
At first I believed the line that this was just a few isolated incidents (not that that would excuse it), but it seems like the more they talk and the more evidence arises, the more clear it becomes that this is a pervasive culture in the hierarchy of this church. They are twisted, self-serving and apparently corrupt to the core.
So they can just go ahead and keep running their mouths, blaming the victims and refusing any personal and organizational responsibility. I can't help but think that one day the people will have had enough and then they will take matters into their own hands.

Amazingly, there was a similar story, almost exactly at the same time of Avarez's remarks. This time a Calgary pastor who blamed his victim, in court, this time a four-year-old girl.

Yep, that's a common excuse for pedophiles. It's also a good way to get them to confess when you are interrogating them too. It's amazing what lengths people will go to in order to justify their crimes.
