Roswell Day Care?
My family will be relocating to Atlanta in the fall and I believe we will be living in the Roswell area. Any suggestions for great day care (or horrible experiences)? I know there are often wait lists and of all the things I'm worried about in moving from western NY to Atlanta, I'm most concerned about my daughter's transition. Any tips, suggestions, recommendations or warnings are MUCH appreciated.

check out Bright From The Start - Pre K
It has excellent reviews and information. The Bright Horizons chain is a good one too. But once you start doing your research you can email specific names and people will respond. Also, how old is your daughter?

Sweettea I think gave the wrong website...check this one out:
Bright from the Start - Home
From here you can search for child care homes and facilities in your search area...and view their state inspection reports. It's a great start.

A fellow Western New Yorker! I moved down here 2 years ago from that area! Getting away from the high taxes as well? I do not live in the Roswell area (I live south of Atlanta) but you will be greeted by many northerners down here!

re: western NY
Mamamarie, between job opportunities and taxes, moving to ATL is really seeming like a "no brainer." My husband and I have been here all our lives and are ready for a change. We have several friends that have moved to the greater Atlanta area and have absolutely no regrets. With any luck, we'll be joining them by September/October!

There are several in Roswell. Most notably is a Montessori center right off Hwy 92 near Sandy Plains Rd. There is also a smallish Goddard school that gets high marks, but is significantly more expensive.
There are several others that are "OK," though more what I'd call "last resorts."
We actually have our children in a center in Marietta, near Canton Rd. and I-75, called "Primary Prep Academy." If you will be driving down I-75 from Roswell, this might work for you.
