Just curious as to the town as a whole, are the locals friendly, would you consider this a quaint town or a bustling suburb with traffic backed up every weekend and rush hour. Is it close to good recreation, bike trails, hiking, outdoor activities? Is the crime relatively low??

I would say bustling suburb with lots of traffic -- but yes to the rest of your questions.
It is hard to live in Metro ATlanta and avoid the traffic, even if you live close to work. In my opinion, there is just a lot of congestion, so while you can make commutes more manageable, there are a lot of cars.

Have you looked at Canton Tabitha?
Where do you live currently?

We took a drive through Woodstock last weekend. Lots of new development; definitely a bustling new suburb. Home prices are more affordable, but you'll definitely encounter rush hour traffic driving into Atlanta.
