Two days ago I was trying to get home in a horrible traffic, there was this horrible driver crossing lanes and going fast and crazy, I got closer to this guy with the whole intention to roll down my window and yell at him, once I got closer I looked at the plates and I read Duluth , GA!
Ha Ha, I couldn't imagine someone driving crazier than where I live in Boston! |

i don't know what's so surprising, people in Atlanta drive fast everytime they get the opportunity, try I-75 between Cumberland and Midtown most of the time if you are going 80 mph everyone will be passing you.... for the most part Atlanta cops don't pull you over for speeding unless your are also driving really stupidly (of course there are exceptions, cough, GA-400 through sandy springs, cough)
that's fine though, speeding is really not a problem on the highways as long as they are driving well, cops should worry much more about people driving the speed limit but VERY POORLY, most accidents are from stupid lane change errors and things like that.... |

How could the plate say Duluth, GA when Duluth is not a county?

And remember, just because it has a Duluth/Georgia tag, does not MEAN they are from here; they could have just moved here. You can't generalize all Georgia drivers because of the tags; they may not be natives, and nine times out of ten because of the influx of people moving here, they aren't.

I always say to myself--'Must be from LA'.

I'm asking the same question, how could the tags say Duluth GA? Anyway, so what? There are crazy drivers everywhere! And pulling up to somebody and challenging their driving habits is a good way to have somebody have a case of road rage with you as the victim. Chill out, drive defensively, and cross your fingers that somewhere up ahead you'll see the guy pulled over with the cops writing him a fat ticket!
And while we're on the subject of bad drivers, I was coming up I-75 north of downtown today and there was a driver in the fast lane doing about 40. Some piece of her molding or something had come loose and was dragging the ground. She put on her hazard lights, but was making no effort to pull off the road. People were swerving all around her, very dangerous. She even had a young child in the car with her. Amazing! |

Happy to say that I saw someone get pulled over in Gwinnett. Gave me a little thrill.
When I see that happen on N. Druid Hills I will be satisfied. cough--Lots of Gwinnett drivers fly down N. Druid Hills and they are rage filled--honking and blowing and talking on their cell phones. So they should live closer to where they work? and go to Yoga classes or something... ![]() sls |

I am not terribly surprised. I used to live in Boston, and also Houston, and by a long shot, Atlanta drivers are the absolute worst drivers I have ever had to deal with. I find them to be, on average, rude, inconsiderate, and at times, downright dangerous. It makes me chuckle to see the lengths people will go to to keep you from merging into traffic, or changing lanes ahead of them. I have been here almost 4 years, and the traffic and awful drivers are one of the main reasons I am trying to leave.

As I said before, half of these drivers you are probably speaking of just moved here. They are not Atlanta natives because we know how to drive. Again, you have to look at the influx of people moving here; Atlanta natives are rare, most of these drivers are from somewhere else; I guarantee you that. |
