I can see your point. Does Atlanta ever run out of Hotel space? It seems Atlanta could handle 2 superbowls at the same time & still have rooms available.

Yes, believe it or not. We host several "citywide" conventions, and they suck up nearly all available rooms a couple of times a year. There are also so many people in town at any given time for a myriad of reasons.

One such period is coming up this Labor Day weekend. Black Gay Pride, Dragoncon and the Chick-fil-a Kickoff Bowl are all happening in the same time span.

An interesting article from last fall that touches on the citywide convention business:

Do you feel those events will over run local hotels? Most of the gay black already live here, would they need hotels? Chick fil a Kickoff may have some pull...who is playing?

There are plenty of places downtown where there are far more trees than there were several decades ago. Broad Street, for example, had ZERO trees in the '50s, and today it is lined with trees on both sides for the entire length of the street. Check out this then and now photo:

No there are going to be 75,000 vistiors from Other places coming for Black pride some are coming all the way from London.. My friend from London is here now for it...

Its true for all cities. Once the recession is over building will resume. I'm not sure whether to laugh at u or not.
