Hello Everyone,
I need your insight! I'm relocating my family to GA. I'm a Sp. Ed Teacher and single parent. We currently reside in a city in AZ where my children attend the local schools and I teach in the same school district. I would like to be able to continue this trend in GA because I want to be close to my children---and I hate to commute . I'm looking at Alpharetta, Roswell, Canton and McDonough (the last two cities seem to be close to what I'm looking for--from what I have researched). I make a descent income and the cost of living is more affordable then where I am coming from, but again I'm a single parent so I've got to be realistic. I've got teenagers so I want them to be able to access public transportation when they desire. I would like to be in a place where the library and park are nearby, and where the community provides family activities and events. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this matter, Mom6me |

That eliminates all the places you mentioned from consideration, with the possible exception of Roswell.

You can get a Marta Bus in Roswell, but not the train. If you really want them to be able to ride the train, also consider Dunwoody area near Northridge Road.
