Dont know if that's true or not but I have to say that if it were true IMHO Roswell seems like a very terrible place to do the Real World. It would be a 30 minute cab to Buckhead and 45 minutes to midtown/highlands. Plus, the demographics of Roswell aren't young enough for a group of 18-21 year olds. Again, just my opinion.

I really doubt they would have a RW in Roswell. Interesting to ponder why one hasn't been done in Atlanta...

Roswell? No way. This sounds a little off to me.

I heard that the idea was nixed years ago by Shirley Franklin, because she thought it would portray Atlanta in a negative light. Moot point, now!

Don't get why they would be housed in Roswell, though. That's very strange.

And, damn, I missed the cut-off age to apply!

Of all the places, why Roswell?? That's off to me, I would have thought the producers would chose an urban environment rather than the suburbs.

i'm sure they're not going to be Roswell. There's nothing really out there even saying they're goin' to be in Atlanta yet...

If or when Real World comes to Atlanta...the loft, penthouse, or mansion will be in Midtown or Near-Midtown Ansley Park--trust me. Virginia-Highland, Poncey-Highland, Little Five Points, Inman Park, or Candler Park could also be considered (there's a slight chance that East Atlanta would be on the list--but, I think not since the area is still filling in...).

They've been talking about doing Real World Atlanta since 2003 or so (Season 16). I'll believe when I see it on MTV's website. Those places you mentioned would be good spots for a house.

I can't believe they haven't done a Real World Atlanta by now, especially seeing how many cities they have done one it (some of them twice), and how Atlanta rose in the music and cultural scene in the 2000's. I was also surprised that they are also just now doing one in DC.

I'm skeptical. I think the rumors of an Atlanta RW go back even to the 90s. But I think you're right, it was seriously considered in the early 00s but then strangely went away, got nixed or something. But Roswell? I can't imagine such a thing. It's an urban show - period. Where in Roswell would you have the buzzing street life the show seems to thrive on? Besides, I thought that show was hanging it up anyway.
