Looking for a black dermatologist in the Atlanta metro area for my son. I was given a name of a male dermatologist in the downtown area, but can not remember his name. I think he is on Peachtree St., but not sure, but he has been in practice for many years in that are. If any one can give any suggestion on this particular Dr. or any in the area I would greatly appreciate it. Looking for someone who caters to children. Thanks

Dr Constance Green at Dermatology Associates (offices around the metro...we see her in East Cobb). She is the only dermatologist that sees children there and she is black. She is fantastic.

Agree that Dr Green is good (she was recommended by our pediatrician). Just a slight correction on the names: It's Dermatology Consultants Dermatology Consultants, P.C. and Dr. Candance Green.

Can't speak for the OP, but most likely because there are conditions like PFB that are specific to people of African descent.

I highly recommend Dr. Sonya Bellamy - she's very knowledgeable and professional. One of the best in my opinion.

Black skin is more delicate and scars very easily. It has to be treated differently. Many white dermatologists don't have the experience to know this.
