I don't live there but have spent a total of two weeks searching for a home in PTC. Those neighborhoods are rather old so the homes will need lots of updating (unless you find a diamond). The only area I was told to stay away from was Wynnmeade.

I have seen many of these homes completely updated inside. I would like an older home. Most of the newer ones are of such poor quality.

Why do people say to stay away from Wynnmeade? I noticed that they are super low in price and many online ones that are listed are foreclosures but what is wrong with this SD? Also if this SD is bad should I avoid ones nearby it???

Default PTC subdivisions

Most subdivisions in PTC are good. Some are great, some are crap. The Braelin area is very nice for older homes that need help. For flipping or buy and hold, (which I would recommend in this market) is best kept to the Starr's Mill HS district and hopefully the Braelinn Ele pr Peeples Ele schools. Oakgrove is good too. There are some very good deals to be had in the Oakgrove Ele school district. Since PTc is so family driven, the elementary schools are everything! Please feel free to contact me if you need any info on the area (I live and work here)

Default Wynnmeade

That subdivision is filled with rental..if you want a slum-rental will be destroyed type home, go in there. And yes, many buyers avoid the nicer subdivisions nearby that area. Lake Peachtree is another area to hold at arm's length.

Default Wynnmeade Information

If anyone still has questions about Wynnmeade, please e-mail me at merrilynda@aol.com. Not ony do I live in Wynnmeade, but I am the president of the homeowners association. Yes, we have one and we have an active one. We are and have worked very hard to restore a quality of life that was stolen from us by greedy landlords.

We have sacrificed and remain dedicated to taking our community back. We will succeed in doing just that. People that don't live in our subdivision or for that matter in the Wilksmoor Village are prejudice in more ways than one. When you want to know the truth...contact someone who knows. That's me.

I didn't want to live in Wynnmeade because the neighborhood looked runned down and frankly, as if the homeowners didn't care one bit about curb appeal. If that makes me prejudiced in more ways than one, then so be it. I happily spent my money elsewhere.
