So is it safe to say you like dining outside?

The "best" dining experience is so subjective, but here's a link to some outdoor dining restaurants by neighborhood.

Haven't been there in years, but always loved the patio at Park Tavern, you could bring your dog, it was right on Piedmont Park, etc.

Living in Dunwoody now, there are not many big patio places. I actually like the one at the Taco Mac at Perimeter. The one at the Prado is awesome if you like to watch sports, and it is covered also (which obviously sucks if it's a nice day). Although just a neighborhood mexican place, I like the Los Rancheros patio (probably because I go there every weekend).

One of the great things about Atlanta, Patio dining for months on end. There are so many places to choose from.

Joes on Juniper has a great patio.

I know this isn't in your requested areas but we had dinner last night in Roswell on Canton Street at a restaurant called Indigo. The patio was wonderful...with a large beautiful tree right in the middle. There was a band inside playing some standards and the music was piped outside....it was really a nice atmosphere. The food was very good as well. Canton street in historic downtown Roswell has some other places with patios..it would be a good place to look.

Tin Lizzy's, Six Feet Under, and now Social Republic House have awesome rooftop patios with views of the downtown and midtown skyline. They are all in Grant Park on Memorial.

Sure enough, as does Einstein's down the block:

welcome - Einstein's Restaurant Midtown Atlanta

Einstein's sister restaurant Cowtippers (on Piedmont at Monroe) also has a great patio:

In Roswell- INC Street Food and Roux as well as Katies (can eat on deck upstairs overlooking the street), and Street (maybe Rice and Taste, too but I can't remember) have outside dining. They are on Canton Street in the historic district. Close to the town square is Relish with outdoor patio and a block or so away is NOLA with a deck. Swallow on the Hollow has outdoor tables and is fun to go to on Thursday evenings when the Farmers' Market is there.
