... to run a county into the ground? These guys can't help but make headline after headline of controversy. Fire them all. Start fresh. Its obviously an environment which promotes anything but successful county management.

If that is what the OP is referring to, Barker's relationship with the woman was inappropriate, and Ellis did do the right thing by terminating him.
I like what I have seen out of Ellis so far. He seems to have brought ethics back to the office of DeKalb CEO.
Apparently Ellis and the former CEO Vernon Jones despised each other. That's all I needed to know in order to vote for Ellis.

I am gravely concerned about DeKalb. The school system and now the COO and another top official in the county office, but frankly, what I am really worried about is the fact that the citizenry seems so unconcerned.

It's Atlanta last minute mom. I am a native and we simply move to Athens. The old time GA people seem dumb, but they are smart in their way.

wouldn't it be a cause for action by her, if they fired her for reporting it?

I do agree with your assessment though...

As a tax paying resident of Dekalb Couty, I couldn't care less about county employees having affairs.

There are other issues worth worrying about.
