I may be wrong, but I have been under the impression that the black community in general is less accepting of homosexuality than whites. Is there any truth to that? And, if so, will these young men be ostracized for coming forward?

I dont care if he is gay, but gay bashing is wrong. Also, I dont believe he is gay, but a man with his affluence is privy to all the vices of the world, and i could see him acquiring a taste. If he has had men, then I am sure he has had 5 times the women or more. Well, at the end of the day, I never liked him because he is arrogant. He should use his money to help, sure secure the future generations of your family, but to flaunt your riches is disgusting.

Apparently Bishop Long has been preaching 'homosexuality is a sin'--to over 25,000 members --for how many years? Yes--the Black Community is less accepting of homosexuality.
If you have the patience--not certain I do--CNN/HLN will undoubtedly run segments on this until the story is no longer news. I'm pretty sure, not positive, that 'being on the DL/downlow' is scandalous to mainstream African American women.
I can only assume that the consequences would be severe--thus giving more credibility to their allegations in the POV of the defense attorney.

hmmm, I would say it falls on the individual. I guess I am technically mixed, but I do come from a mostly black family. My family doesnt have any problem with gays. Neither do my black friends; my white friends would all be very vocal about their dislike of gays. i think a lot of that is just a crowd mentality and what they think they should say. An individual can be very intelligent, but a passionate crowd is always rash.
